Law Day is an annual commemoration held to celebrate the rule of law and cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal system. In honor of Law Day, we are inviting those in our community to learn what it is like to be a part of the legal community here in Lafayette, Louisiana. It is going to be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the US District Courthouse. It will be a round-table style discussion with questions about the legal process answered by people who play a variety of rolls throughout that process (for example: a judge’s perspective, an ADA’s perspective, and a plaintiff’s and defense attorney’s perspective).
