Felony Attorney
The 16th Judicial Public Defenders Office is seeking a felony attorney to represent clients in criminal proceedings including arraignment, revocation hearings, pretrial hearings, plea negotiations, trial and sentencing.The attorney is responsible for maintaining an effective attorney-client relationship, and is supervised by District Defender.
Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Louisiana and be in good standing. Applicants must be interested in working with individuals charged with criminal offenses from diverse backgrounds and possess the ability to communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, colleagues, staff and court personnel orally and in writing.
