Food from the Bar

The Lafayette Bar Association invites you to join us in supporting Second Harvest Food Bank by participating in the inaugural Food from the Bar campaign in Acadiana. Food from the Bar is the legal community’s response to hunger across the country, in which local firms raise funds, donate food, and volunteer at local food banks.

2020 was a difficult year for Louisiana. In addition to the everyday disaster of hunger, Louisianans are dealing with the effects of a global pandemic and three hurricanes. Second Harvest is distributing 75% more food above the pounds of food and supplies distributed by the food bank and our partners over the same period in the year before.

We hope that your firm will join us to support this campaign. It’s easy to participate - your firm can help feed hungry families across Acadiana & South Louisiana.

  • Participate in Food from the Bar from February 22nd – March 26th and collect food & funds at your firm for Second Harvest. It is as simple as sending an email to your office publicizing the campaign and encouraging staff to donate. Second Harvest can set up an online page for your firm to make donating simple & secure.

  • Consider a virtual event or prize contest to encourage participation and make it fun for the whole firm.

Our support is needed now more than ever – please join us! Thanks for your consideration.
