The Lafayette Bar Association is hosting a blood drive on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Vitalant bloodmobile.
On average, donors give significantly less during the summer compared to the rest of the year, however the need for lifesaving transfusions remain steady. All blood types are needed to ensure safe and ready supply, especially Type O Blood. Type O is the most transfused and O-Negative blood is what emergency room personnel reach for when there is not time to determine a patient’s blood type.
Please click here to make to make your lifesaving appointment today.
(Donors who have received a COVID-19 vaccine are eligible to give blood, platelets or plasma if they meet all general blood donation eligibility requirements.)
P.S. You may access the Vitalant Fast Track Health History Questionnaire here to save 20 minutes prior to donating. This is to be completed on the day of your appointment and brought with you. It is important that you eat and drink water prior to donating.
