Thomas R. "Trey" Hightower, III

Thomas R. "Trey" Hightower, III, was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but raised in Lafayette. He attended St. Thomas More High School and after graduating in 2001, graduated from Louisiana State University in 2005 with a B.A. in Political Science. He attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University and graduated in 2008 with a J.D., B.C.L. He joined Thomas R. Hightower, Jr. APLC in 2012 after clerking for Judge Haik and practicing for a few years with Judice & Adley. The scope of his practice has been fairly broad, though primarily in the area of civil litigation. He was inspired to enter the legal field by his father who is also an attorney. He was exposed to the practice of law at an early age. As a consequence, he always had an interest in law; the opportunity to help people from all walks of life and meet people from all over the state appealed to him. As he grew older, he came to appreciate the importance of a strong legal profession to communities and wanted to be a part of the great tradition that is here in Lafayette.
