"Running in Heels" and Chasing Equality

As much as we'd like to think we work in a world where female attorneys are always viewed as equalsand gender is no longer a factor in a lawyer's success, the stark reality is that women attorneys continue to face unique challenges as they begin and grow their law practices.
"Running in Heels, while open to any attorney who would like to attend, focuses on helping our female members develop strategies for dealing with these challenges."

As much as we'd like to think we work in a world where female attorneys are always viewed as equalsand gender is no longer a factor in a lawyer's success, the stark reality is that women attorneys continue to face unique challenges as they begin and grow their law practices. Over 400 female attorneys responded to the Florida Bar's Young Lawyer Division Survey on Women in the Legal Profession. 43% of those had experienced some sort of gender bias during their careers and 42% reported difficulties balancing work/life responsibilities. Running in Heels, while open to any attorney who would like to attend, focuses on helping our female members develop strategies for dealing with these challenges.
