What is Bench Bar?
The Bench Bar Conference is a three-day conference that offers 12.5 hours of Continuing Legal
Education (CLE) courses. Topics for the sessions range in subject, including sessions on
ethics and professionalism. Complete with social events each day, the conference is a valuable
networking experience. You will have the opportunity to build new professional relationships
and meet new contacts, including special guest judges who will be in attendance.

Thursday, November 12 through Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans, LA
Do I pay for the conference and my hotel room separately?
Unless you are a judge registering for the conference, the answer is YES! Conference registration and payment is completed through the Lafayette Bar Association. Hotel accomodations are to be booked (by you) through the Windsor Court Hotel.
(Please note that if you are a judge, conference registration and hotel accomodations will be through the Lafayette Bar Association. You are note responsible for booking your own room.)
How do I make hotel accommodations?
Bench Bar 2020 has secured a room block at the Windsor Court, 300 Gravier Street, New Orleans. How do I register for the conference?
Click here to register online. A $25 fee may be applied if paying online with a credit card. Members have the option to create an invoice.
Click here to download a registration form. Mail in your registration form along with payment to the Lafayette Bar Association, Attn: Bench Bar, 2607 Johnston Street, Lafayette, LA 70503. You may also submit your registration by fax (337) 237-0970 or email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Payment can be made in person, by mail, or over the phone. Members have the option to create an invoice.
After October 12, 2020 conference registration may be transferred to a colleague, but not cancelled or refunded. This can be done by calling the Lafayette Bar office at (337) 237-4700 ext. 103. To make changes or cancel your hotel room, you must contact the Windsor Court Hotel. You must book your room through the LBA Room Block by October 12, 2020 to receive the discounted room rate.
Only in the event that Bench Bar is cancelled or postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions in place by the Governor’s office or the venue, you may request a refund.
