NOTARY TEST PREPARATION CLASS OFFERED BY UL
If you want to be a Notary Public, the University of Louisiana-Lafayette has a class for you! UL will offer a basic notary test preparation course in the Spring semester on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-8:50 p.m., beginning January 18, 2011 through May 3, 2011. Fred W. Davis, Adjunct Instructor and an attorney and notary for 28 years, will teach the course.
Individuals who receive their Notary Public commission are authorized by the state to witness the signing of important documents. Being a Notary Public can be a valuable asset for individuals in various careers and can help set you apart from others in your field. Additionally, a notary can earn meaningful supplemental income in his/her practice. Individuals seeking their commission must pass a rigorous exam. Mr. Davis has been teaching the notary course at UL for several years and does an excellent job of preparing his students for the exam. His students have had a high level of success on the exam. After taking this course and subsequently taking the notary public exam, one student exclaimed, “I passed! I was very thankful to have taken your course.” Another student evaluated Mr. Davis’ instruction saying, “It is obvious the instructor is trying very hard to provide students with the necessary resources and materials for success. Great job!”
Mr. Davis is a 1983 graduate of Loyola University School of Law (New Orleans). He is also the publisher of the popular Pass My Notary workbook series, which has helped students from around the state to succeed on the notary test.
The course is designed to prepare students for the state notary test given on June 4, 2011. In addition to effective and dynamic classroom instruction, testing similar to the components on the state test will be offered in the course and will assist students in preparing for the state exam.
Students do NOT have to be seeking a degree to enroll in this course. Contact UL Enrollment Services at 337-482-5687 for information regarding registration and costs for the course known as BLAW 240-001. For more information about the course, contact Fred W. Davis at fdavis@rhhnet.com
